Curriculum

Routines /
Choreography

Each student will leave with exposure to the best choreography in the area.  Five to seven routines will be taught to each student in various styles of jazz, stylized jazz, hip hop, precision, lyrical, military, theatre, modern, high kick, and pom routines that emphasize both military and jazz styles.

Master Session w/
Guest Instructor

We are excited to introduce this new aspect of our curriculum this year.  This Master Session will be taught by an incredible guest teacher that is currently working with some of the biggest names in dance.

Technical Classes

Our goal is to teach the most important aspects of dancing, and technique is important!  The skills taught in these technique classes include turns, leaps and ballet and will enable each team to advance their choreography, simplify polishing and thus improve overall performances throughout the year.

Breakout Sessions

These sessions are taught by the best choreographers and teachers around.  Your dancers will learn one routine in each breakout session and will come away with a number of routines to bring back to your squad.  Elite Performance choreographers will create a fun, relaxed, and exciting atmosphere for each dancer to learn and excel.

Home Routine
Showcase

We invite each team to bring their choice of team, ensemble, solo, or any combination of performance you would like to show the first night of camp.  This is a time to show off your team's talents, favorite styles, costumes or favorite routine from the year that we may have not had the opportunity to see at competitions!  This event is optional and will not be judged.  The campers are invited to enjoy the many talents of their fellow dancers from other teams and vote for their favorite performance.

“Foundations” Teambuilding /
Leadership Training Program

We offer the best motivational and team building sessions for dancers and dance team.  Nutrition and strength building sessions will also help each dancer understand how to best prepare their body for the demands of dancing. Your team will walk away more unified and motivated, reminded of why they chose dance team in the first place.

Formal Dinner

This is a time where the dancers get dressed up in formal or semi-formal outfits and get to enjoy a catered, sit-down dinner together.  This dinner comes after three days of hard work and gives the dancers some time to relax, enjoy each other and create some amazing team memories before the final day.

Director Program

We aim to join directors together for four days to build a community that supports, encourages and offers resources throughout the year.  There will be a series of sessions offered including polishing for competition, technique building, fundraising, your team’s summer camp, guest speakers and tools to prepare for a superior year.  Clock hours are also available!

Speakers

Our experts in team motivation, leadership, sports training, nutrition and health, performance preparation and much more are ready to prepare your team for the best year ever.

Feedback for Dancers

We believe that honest and constructive feedback to each dancer is vital for improvement.  We have provided an environment for optional evaluations.  Each dancer or team may choose to participate in a short evaluation of one to two routines on the third day of camp.  This time allows the instructors to give individual feedback to dancers who choose to participate.

Awards

Daily recognition in each class and rewards for outstanding teams and individual dancers, and a final day parent show of all dancers have learned.  We also offer a scholarship to 2 outstanding underclassmen (freshman through junior) to return to Elite Performance for FREE the next year.  We also award 2 seniors a top dancer award and the chance to come back to Elite Performance as an intern the next year.
